New Project! Looking for Designers!

The ecoDesigners Guild has a new project and were looking for designers to help out!
Green + Screen Design Project for Penn Avenue
Penn Ave Arts Initiative (PAAI) has grant applications out for Green + Screen Project along Penn Ave (Mathilda St to Negley Ave). PAAI has spent about several million dollars on the avenue helping residents and building owners fix up the facades and structures of the buildings along Penn Ave. Even though Penn Ave is an arts district and there are several galleries and shops, there are still a lot of empty lots and blighted buildings. The Green + Screen project is centered on creating architectural screens and landscaping that can fill in the gaps on the avenue and make a more cohesive arts avenue.

PAAI would like eDG to help with the design of one of the screens on the Penn Ave. We have a location at 4903 Penn for the pilot project and we will also be working with Summit Academy for the fabrication of the screens. In addition to the design of the screen and working along side the students of Summit Academy; Summit could really use our help documenting the work that the students do and communicating that to the city and other neighborhoods that could use their help.

This is a going to be a great project! We're going to need all types of designers to make this project happen. The kick-off meeting is planed for Tuesday March 31st. We will be explaining the project further and the role eDG will play, along with setting up an initial project schedule that we can share with PAAI and Summit Academy.
Meeting Time:
Date: Tuesday, March 31st
Time: 7pm
Where: Modern Formations Gallery, 4919 Penn Avenue, www.moderformations.com
